My husband LOVES a good Mushroom Burger, so for Father’s Day this year we made some. Using the Creamy Mushroom Soup Mix from Wheat Free Nutrition it was easy, and delicious.
This soup mix is very versatile, creamy, and has a great mushroom flavor. We have used it in casseroles and loved it. And it is dairy-free as well! (click the link below to see ingredients)
4 gluten-free hamburger buns (see page 20 Irresistibly Gluten Free cookbook.)
4 hamburger patties
1/3 cup Creamy Mushroom Soup Mix from Wheat Free Nutrition
1 cup water
3/4 cup fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (omit if dairy-free)
- Make hamburger buns and cook hamburger patties to desired doneness.
- Make the Creamy Mushroom Soup Mix by combining the mix and 1 cup water. Follow package directions for “Sauce.”
- In a small frying pan, saute the mushrooms in the butter for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble your hamburgers by putting meat patty on the bottom bun, then top with cheese, then sauce, then mushrooms, and finally the top bun.
